Leave No Vet Behind

Knights Newsletter | News Comments Off on Leave No Vet Behind

As we enter our third month of isolation and social distancing, the Knights of Columbus continues their efforts to Leave No Neighbor Behind.  The current issue of Columbia magazine features many stories about how councils across the country and beyond have answered the call to help their fellow neighbors during this pandemic crisis.

Our council has been among those who have taken the call to help to heart by supporting Hanover Township Food Pantry with cash donations, food collections, and the Virtual 5k Run / Walk (which is still underway).   Now, we have another opportunity to help another group of our neighbors who can always use some assistance – our Veterans.

Louis Neri in conjunction with the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans is collecting items to assist our Veterans in need.  Please see the attached flyer for items most in need and then contact Louis to arrange to drop off your donations.

The Shelter is still closed but will take these items.  Thank you Louis for coordinating our council’s response to a special group of our Neighbors in Need.
